Description
Height was not one of Ambroses basketball teams strong points but
it was made up by their intelligence on the court. They had a good
shooting team and a strong defensive squad, which was proved by
many high scoring games.
Even with this being one of the smallest varsity teams in number
they proved themselves when they played the annual alumni game.
The varsity team defeated the alumni 107-87.
After losing 98-92 to crosstown rival, Marycrest they returned one
month later to defeat the Eagles 86-77, to prove themselves again.
Ambrose lost to Loras Duhawks 107-104 in triple overtime, giving
Ambrose fans one of the most exciting games ever.
Jim Morris out jumps his man.
Matt Sottos hits one from the freethrow line.
