HOMECOMING
Campus life takes on a whole new meaning
during Homecoming week. Alumni return, seniors
look ahead, and everybody else has a super good
time.
The kick-off event again this year was the Gong
Show, sponsored by the Student Government Association and the Longballers. It was hard to distinguish the entertaineers from the entertainees.
On Thursday, at the Pep Rally and Bonfire, Rick
Guebbels and Debbie DeBo began their reign as
King and Queen of the festivities.
A hat dance in South Hall cafeteria highlighted
Friday night's activities. The band *Faustus" provided the music.
By Saturday, everyone was up for the big game
and parade. Ambrose students' handywork went
on display as the parade went through the downtown area.
Before the game the Bees were chomping at
the bit to get to the Grinnell College Pioneers. An
Ambrose 42-10 victory topped off the afternoon.
The day ended with a semi-formal dance at the
Sky-Light Ballroom with music provided by the
band "Nickels."
