11. Results of quarterly examinations drift in. Some drift out as a result. Big com
motion in Physics class. Many seniors cancel orders for invitations and rings.
Why all the excitement? To reverse our friend Pal's expression, "It's the storm
before the calm."
12. Easter vacation begins. Lew still despondent over the unkind trick fate played
on him April Fool's day. They're ( ?) just like street cars, Tom. Don't run
after one, there will be another along in a little while. Besides, what did you
make her pay her own way for?
17. Vacation over. The gang comes in the afternoon, while the "select" or "la
clase" saunter in toward midnight, having enjoyed the "Col" immensely. Most
of them add at least two new names to their correspondence list.
18. The varsity still follows the old rule, "Up and at 'em." The father of one of
our portly college men revisits the scenes of former conquest. Some one remarked
to the younger generation after Dad had left, "Well, vou're a block off the old
chip."
Choice accommodations, room and board, all modern condi-
tions for girls attending school and ladies employed or visiting
in Davenport.
