Bees Sting Duhawks for Conference Crown....
In the season's most important contest, Coach
Bob Duax's charges edged out Loras, 89-87, in an
overtime battle for the Iowa Conference Championship in Bettendorf High School gym.
Bill Crowley, substituting for Bill Dart, accounted for five quick points in the final thirty
seconds before Loras' Duhawks pulled up into a
78-78 tie as the final buzzer sounded.
Big Bob Cannady flipped in nine points in the
extra period to give the Saints the game and the
crown. Cannady garnered 38 points and Capt.
Seekamp hit 19 for the victors.
