President of the College, Right Reverend Monsignor
Ambrose J. Burke attended both Saint Ambrose Academy
and Saint Ambrose College. He received his doctorate at
Yale University. He was principal of the Academy for
two years. The eighth president of Saint Ambrose College,
he has held this office since 1940. Known as an educator
and speaker, he has spoken on many major networks and
in many cities throughout the country.
