Description
INTRAMURALS
From the celebrated flicker ball field to the mania of
LeClaire Fieldhouse, hoardes of students sought academic respite in intramural sports. Reputed powerhouses
such as the Foxes, J.D. Squad, Bottoms Up, Cathletics,
Dirty Dozen, Slobs, Jerry's Kids, Skywalkers, Rowdy
Rascals, and God Squad continued to tout their often
ailing athletic prowess. Flickerball, basketball, and volleyball remain the most popular intramural sports according to the competent student director, Don Dadds
(right photo). And it is the general consensus of the
greater student population that a diversion in sports has
a demulcent effect. Ultimately, working off pent-up frustrations in an athletic competition provides for a healthier study environment. Conclusively, Ambrosians seem
to enjoy their academics coupled with their intramurals!
