Suppose that you had a Duke that was in love with
a rich countess. Then suppose that the rich countess did not love the Duke, instead, she loves a
young boy. Next, suppose that this young boy was
not a boy at all but a girl dressed as a boy and that
she was in love with the Duke. To further complicate matters, suppose that this young girl had a
brother that looked just like her. If you had all of
that, what would you have? Well, some would say
that you probably have a Chinese puzzle, but others
would say that you have the perfect entree for
comedy: Shakespere's Twelfth Night The play itself is a masterpiece of comedy with just the right
ingredients: deceptions, misunderstandings, threatened catastrophes, and spiced with just a smidge of
the burlesque.
