SIBLING
RENDEZVOUS
Brother like sister? Sister like brother? The
truth comes out during the sibling rendezvous,
a time when Ambrose students invite family
members (anyone but the parents) for a weekend of fun. Some of the siblings are recognizable
by their familar facial features, recreational favorites, or just plain association, while others
leave you guessing. The activities for the weekend, besides the scheduled dance and game
room activities, are pretty well left up to the
collegiate know-it-alls. Many take a trip to Circle for burgers or to Whitey's for a shake. Others simply stay on campus for a true taste of
college life, experiencing chaotic dorms, unedi-
ble cafeteria food, and lots of friendly people.
Strangely enough, a few siblings return for the
Fall semester as students, not visitors. The younger siblings, however, return yearly for the
"taste of college life" and the parental escape it
offers.
