'15. George Potter, formerly in the Academy and in the various musical activities here, belongs to the Cavalry Band and with the National Army
in California.
'15. It was on a beautiful morning in October at the Sacred Heart
Cathedral, that three former students of St. Ambrose, John M. Cash, Leo
A. Kerrigan and Leo S. Roling, were ordained to the Holy Priesthood, by
their Bishop, the Rt. Kev. Bishop Davis. The following Sunday they celebrated High Mass in their respective home-parishes. All are doing parish
work in the Diocese. Father Cash has been appointed to St. Mary's, De-
Witt; Father Kerrigan to St. Patrick's, Iowa City; and Father Roling to
St. Irenaeus, Lyons.
During the same month their former classmate, Louis Liguitti was ordained a priest at St. Ambrose Cathedral, Des Moines. Father Liguitti has
taken up post-graduate work in the College of Letters at the Catholic University at Washington, D. C.
1914
'14. Earnest Granquist, Academic, the famous baritone, has taken his
musical talent into the National Army. He is now with the 168th Inf. in
France, and belongs to the regimental band. Edward Rump, also an Academic graduate of the same year, is in the Quartermasters Corps, Camp
Fremont, Palo Alto, California.
'14. William J. Gerwe was married to Miss Julia Bulkley, 9811 Van-
derpole Avenue, Chicago, on April 10, 1918. They will make their home in
Chicago, where Mr. Gerwe is credit manager of the Vacuum Oil Company.
Hearty congratulations.
'14. Charles H. McGinnis, Commercial, is with the Colors. He is posted
at Fort Rosencrans, on the Pacific Coast in California. Here also are
located Matthew Tappendorf and Arthur McCarthy.
'14. The two Lawlor brothers, Timothy L., who graduated with the
Academic class of '14, and Lawrence A., formerly with the Academic class
of 1918, have entered the Naval Service. Timothy at Harvard, and Lawrence at the Great Lakes Training Station. Lawrence has enlisted in
the Hospital Corps. They are accompanied by a third brother, James.
Patriotism runs high in this family.

'13. Father Wm. P. Callahan, assistant at St. Ann's Cathedral, Great
Falls, Montana, was on the Editorial Staff of the first "Ambrosian." He
sends the following message from the west:
"In answer to your solicitous inquiry of my 'Whereabouts,' will say I
am "out where the west begins."
As to other Alumni, only one other whom I know of has been so fortunate as to claim the 'Electric City' as his residence. This is Mr. Everett
Bailey, who later joined the Montana National Guards, and now is 'Somewhere Over There.'
