BAND
The only disappointing note of the
band's 78-79 season was the cancellation of the winter tour, due to heavy
winter storms.
The band entertained us with three
concerts. The first concert was an "All
American" concert in which American
composers and arrangers were honored.
The winter concert was held March
6th. The final concert of the season
was outdoors, The President's Outdoor
Concert.
Along with concert preparation the
band plays for many school events.
They play at all the football games as
Pep Band. The band also participated
in the Homecoming parade. The band
had several fund drives to raise money
for the upcoming European trip,
which will be taken after the 79-80
school year.
