JUSTICE
FRATERNITY
The Criminal Justice Fraternity had
another active year in '78-'79.
Their biggest event was the co-
sponsorship of Red Garter Night with
the SGA. Their fund raiser, the book
exchange, also served as an excellent
student service, enabling students to
buy books at a discount rate. You
could also sell the books you preferred
not to ever open again.
Thomas Molumby was the faculty
advisor of the Fraternity. Barb Welsh
held the post as President, Dan Williams
was Vice President, and Bob Brewer
was the Treasurer.
The Fraternity also had a movie
free to students. "Scared Straight" was
shown to inform students of the problems in todays prisons.
"STINGERS"
A renewed increase in school spirit,
(which had been rumored to be living
in a dark room in Ambrose Hall),
brought about the Stingers, a newly
formed pep group at St. Ambrose.
Composed mainly of South Hall
girls and a few noble men from East,
the Stingers rallied around our athletic
teams, giving them that extra boost of
"Bee Power" needed by our men in
blue.
A theme song was developed, (with
a little help from the Dr. Pepper commercials), T-shirts were distributed,
and the Stingers cheered their little
hearts out for our school.
Let's hear it for the Stingers:
"Bzzzzzzzzzzz."
