Saint Ambrose College
Deadlines and datelines. Headaches
and heartaches. Criticism and congratulations. The world of a newspaper is
one of contrasts—hard work and fun,
plus and education. The St. Ambrose
Paper SAC was no exception this year.
Editor-in-chief Julie Gosma and her
staff produced 20 issues of the Paper
SAC for Ambrose students to read.
Working with an expanded list of editors, Gosma continued the tradition of
increasing the quality of the SAC.
More features, photo essays and an
inkling of investigative reporting made
the newspaper as timely as ever. Mondays would find editors tracking down
stories, Tuesday would mean several
hours in the third-floor Ambrose Hall
office putting the paper together. Wednesdays were set aside for headlines
and corrections, and on Thursdays, the
finished product reached the students.
Editors with Ms. Gosma this year
were: Ann Glenn, news editor; Jeanne
F. Rauth, features editor; Kevin Rose
and Rick Kochuyt, sports editors: Jim
Lawlor, photo editor; Bob Buttgen,
copy editor; and Brent O'Malley, business manager.
Jeanne Rauth has no idea, at this moment, how she will lay out her page.
Brent O'Malley, business manager balances the
books, hoping to find them in balance.
Jim Lawlor takes some time out from
photography to fool around.
