Description
la Perichole
A TRULY COMICAL OPERA CAPTURES THE AUDIENCE-
The satire on elaborate opera, "La Perichole" was enjoyed by
both the audience and the cast at St. Ambrose.
"La Perichole" is the story of two unsuccessful streetsingers'
unnecessary trials and tribulations they must overcome to be together.
The role of Perichole was portrayed by St. Ambrose voice instructor, Lois Larrabee, due to the illness of Shelly Fredricks.
Larrabee enjoyed working with the cast despite the short time
she had to prepare for her role.
Excellant performances of Jim Turilli and Tim Hurd in the
roles of Don Andreas and Paquillo aided in the success of the
operetta.
Recognition should also be given to the orchestra for their
nearly error less performance, conducted by Father Greene.
Can Can Dancers (Kathy Luksetich, Kim Dryden, Rosalyn March) show
Don Andreas (Jim Turilli) their stuff.
