These seniors have been honored with
election to membership in the St. Ambrose Xi
chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma, national scholastic honor society for students of Catholic
Colleges and universities.
The honorees are, seated left to right:
William F. Dawson, Bruce C. Becker, Eugene R.
DiMarco, William Sueppel, Don Wooten, William Nagle, Sam Compagno, Richard Balzer,
Harry Eick. Standing are: Harold Kaisen, Patrick
Martin, Gerald Dye, Thomas Mogan, William
Super, Eugene Prado, Hyman Vinar, Robert
Ralfs, Lyle Jager, William Lawrence, Arthur
Schebler, Robert Hender, Christopher O'Shea,
and Deland Burns. James Goyno was not present for the picture.
The new members, representing the top
ten per cent of the class of 1950, were chosen
for their scholastic achievement in maintaining
above a XXB" average, and for their participation
in extracurricular activities. Selection was
made by a faculty committee of William Ryan,
Walter Becker, Thomas Gartland and Charles
Costello.
The seniors were formally initiated and inducted at a chapter dinner held at the Davenport Chamber of Commerce. Keys and membership certificates were distributed.
