The Big Brothers Club
The aim of the Big Brothers club is to replace
some of the love and guidance the children of St.
Vincients Home have lost due to their individual misfortune. The club endeavors to help the children adjust themselves to a normal way of life. It is believed
by the club members that an Ambrosian who has
similar interests such as sports, music or science etc.,
can further the development of a child through his
association with him.
There are approximately fifty-five children ranging
in age from one to sixteen years at the home. The
club, besides its weekly activities, sponsors, in conjunction with the Big Sisters of Marycrest, an annual
picnic for the children in the spring.
OFFICERS: President-Jim Hall; Acting Vice-Pres.-Gene
Diemmer; Treas.—Tom Hueholt.
