1968-69 Basketball Team
Although the roundballers had a mediocre
start in the 1968-1969 season, dedicated mentor Leo Kilfoy continuously strove to bolster his
team. The success of his efforts was evident in
the second half of the season. With consistent
starters of seniors and juniors and a good depth
in his reserves especially some vital backup men,
Coach Kilfoy is constantly striving to improve
even when success smiles.
A high point in the basketball record book was
when hot-hitting Denny Geraghty surpassed the
1000 point career mark while here at St. Ambrose.
Senior forward Lenny Koplitz also ends an outstanding career for the Bees as did senior guard
Roger Furman who will always be remembered for
his fine ball control and play-making.
