Description

1968-69 offerings
This season did not stop or, for that matter, even
slow down for Theatre III. Besides the usual
three major productions the St. Ambrose drama
enthusiasts prepared two dramatic productions
for television. "The Hollow Crown", an innovation
in reader's theater, and "The Valiant", a one-act
drama were seen on WOC-TV.
Highlighting the year's offerings was one of the
only American tragedies, "Detective Story." This
play by Sidney Kingsley allowed for one of the
largest and most efficient casts in the history
of Theatre III.

"A Man for All Seasons" opened in March to a
tumult of praise and once again Theatre III
proved itself to be a compact, professional, and
talented group.
The successes of Theatre III are, in truth, due
to the efforts of one man. Without his earnest and
able direction the quality and professionalism of
Theatre III would be greatly diminished. Thank
you, Mr. James Willaert.
