Description

December 10, 1968 marked the appearance of
Bruce Henderson, Religious Editor of Time, who
reflected the opinion of Secular Communications.
As Religion Editor of Time Magazine and a journalist of years of experience, Bruce Henderson
has surveyed the present situation of religion
and theology with an acute awareness of the background of this development. Mr. Henderson's
lecture revealed his broad ken of knowledge of
current religious affairs and more importantly,
their complexity. The educated men and women
of today must be conscious of their religious
responsibilities.
Dr. Daniel Callahan is an intelligent Catholic
theologian who has taught, authored numerous
books and is presently Executive Editor of Commonweal. Despite this intellectual's relative
youth, he is one of the most prominent Catholic
theologians in the U.S. He has effectively combined scholarly research and journalism to give a
very informative insight into Catholic Theology.
In his presentation at the college, Dr. Callahan
emphasized the necessity for an educated member of our society to shape some sort of a notion
for himself of the essence of a Christian.
Below: "Forming a Contemporary Christian Identity" was the topic of Dr.
Daniel Callahan.
