Description

INTRODUCTION
Currently, St. Ambrose College is undergoing
a necessary and vital transformation. Expansion
of the college's facilities is now taking place to
meet the growing needs of the school by the oaks.
This change is visibly reflected in the new and
the proposed campus buildings and facilities.
Another mirror of this progress is the presence,
for the first time officially, of the college woman
on the St. Ambrose campus.
The official admission of full time women students to the halls of this institution of higher
learning is a real credit to this liberal arts col
lege. Now, St. Ambrose is a liberal arts college.
The opportunities offered by St. Ambrose are now
available to the modern women.
Because this is the original year of the college
woman as a full time student here, the Oaks
deems it proper to concentrate its efforts towards
highlighting this innovation. We, the staff of the
'69 Oaks, intend to reveal the invasion of the fairer sex onto our traditional male campus. Students of St. Ambrose College, the academic
school year 1968-1969 shall be remembered as
the Year of the Woman.
