The Art Club, known as L'Envoi, was organized early in the fall of the first
school year at Marycrest. It is under the direction of Sister Mary Clarice, who
is art instructor. The purpose of the club is to promote greater appreciation
and understanding of art, and the many different fields which are grouped
under this general classification. It is limited to girls who are in the different
art classes at Marycrest, but its benefits are for all. Field trips to the local art
museum were included in the plan for this year. In addition, some of the paintings were loaned by the museum to be hung at Marycrest for exhibit. Since the plans of Marycrest include cultural as well as mental development, L'Envoi
will undoubtedly play an important part in the Marycrest calendar.
