Description

Lonely Hearts
Have you a perplexing love affair in which you
need the counsel of a friend? Write to lma
Jane, care of the Ambrosian. If you wish a personal reply send a stamped, addressed envelope.
John G.—Why, I am surprised at you, John. If Mary doesn't like
your actions all of the time, why you must improve on them. By all means
ask her pardon. You owe her that much, at least. Don't mention it.
Ray K.—It is quite proper to buy the ring before the proposal, that is if
you are sure of the outcome. Otherwise, if I wad in your position, I would
wait. No, I don't think Calamus is the proper place for you to settle down.
Come to Chicago and grow up.
Newman F.—You have no business writing to a girl that is engaged.
Of course if she starts the correspondence, politeness demands that you
answer her, but do not encourage her. Is Boston a good place to live ? I
don't know, I'm sure. I looked it up but I couldn't find it on the map.
You're welcome.
Al R.—I may say with certainty that West Point is an ideal place for
a young man to spend the summer, as I was there for a short visit myself.
For more definite information ask your fellow townsman, Louis N., or send
me a stamped envelope with your address. That's all right.
Ziggy—I must say that you have a very pretty name. No, I wouldn't go
back to Racine, even though the girl is waitihg. Stick to your studies
Ziggy, and if you can't do that, let them stick to you.
Jos. C.—You must quit running around with E. S. Not because it is
doing you any harm now but you will regret it in the future, when you have
reached more mature years and will have lost the glamor of youth. I really
think I could do you some good. If you will send me a stamped and addressed envelope, I will advise you to the best of my ability by return mail.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Simons (affectionately holding his own photo)—I believe I'll give the
M. & D. one of my photos.
Rempe—Don't! You'll get in worse with him.
