Description

The Junior Football Team, under the direction of Father Adrian, was the
champion team of its size in the tri-cities. Some of their opponents were much
larger, but they overcame this handicap by their speedy and complicated open
field-play. Bireline was easily the individual star on the team. At half back he
was a terror to the opposing defense. Sharing honors with him was quarter back
Wehr, who was a sure man on the forward pass and an able field general. Flan-
nery, at center, should be mentioned for his stellar work, both on the offensive
and defensive. Wagner, at full, hit the line like a battering ram, and half back
McClellan seldom failed to make a gain of five to ten yards. The team work was
even more remarkable than the individual starring. The majority of the men are
back in school and we expect to hear even better results from them this year.
