Rev. Cornelius Lally, a former student of St. Ambrose, who was ordained last
May, is now located at Red Oak.
Father McGuire, who suffered from a serious and lingering illness during the
school year, visited the College in April; the improvement in his health was a
source of gratification to the student body.
Leo Roling, John Cash, Leo Kerrigan and Lugi Ligutti, all of the 1914 Collegiate Class, are now pursuing the study of Theology at St. Mary's Seminary,
Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Thomas Coughlin, one of our Commercial graduates, now handles the
local agency of a well known make of automobile.
Mr. John Hynes, Classical '11, Notre Dame Law '15, is now practicing law at
Des Moines, Iowa, and is now president of the local branch of the Des Moines St.
Ambrose Alumni.
Francis Kane, Commercial '15, is now holding down a good position in a bank
at Ruthven, Iowa.
Father Thomas Loftus, of Oskaloosa, one of the prominent members of the
Alumni, was the host to the college football team on the occasion of the St.
Ambrose-Penn game at Oskaloosa. Father Loftus proved a royal entertainer and
is remembered with gratitude by the members of the team.
Edward O'Toole, Commercial '14, is employed as lumber inspector for the
P. Ryan Lumber Co. at Lufkin, Texas.
Leo Hannon, '13, is at present a student at Creighton University of Omaha.
Francis Harkens, one of our former students, is holding a responsible position in the C, B. & Q. freight office at Ottumwa.
Joseph Bloom, an esteemed alumnus, is a prominent lawyer at De Witt, Iowa.
Anthony Epping, Commercial '13, is working in the ticket office of the Rock
Island Road at Davenport.
Arthur Fitzpatrick, William Kleffman and David Klise are students at St.
Mary's Seminary, Baltimore, Maryland.
