Title
1960 Yearbook
Description
When talking about college days in
later years, the student of 1960 will say:
"I was at Ambrose when they dropped
football." The team at right is the
last to be fielded by the college.
In 1960 Saint Ambrose joined smaller
colleges all over the country in
reluctantly adapting to modern
developments in the economics
of education.
Much has been spoken and written
about sports at Saint Ambrose.
The arguments have persisted pro and
con even to the whipping of a not
only dead but buried horse.
The arguments are theoretical.
In practice there is no question that
sports at Saint Ambrose, as considered
in the man or in the team, always
have been a credit to the institution.
