COMPETITION
The first Intracollegiate football team
in 15 years was organized at St. Ambrose. The Club Football transformed
Ambrose into a "real school". The
green team did not enjoy too many victories, but showed real progress.
Basketball boosted morale at Ambrose
with repeated success and exciting
games. The sport remains number one
at Ambrose.
Intramural flag football receives widespread participation from the student
body. Teams choose a name and create
their own uniforms, often silk-screened
tee shirts. Girls are not excluded. Girls
Basketball teams are organized. Co-ed
intramural volleyball teams give students a chance to get together.
The Springtime sports calendar highlights track and Baseball. Ambrose has
a men and women's tennis team with
both a Spring and Fall season. There is
an opportunity for any interested student to become involved in a sports
program here.
