leaves flutter to the ground. They know as much
about it as we do. Like how it rains. A rice paddy lies between Ambrose Towers and East.
Homecoming. The quarterback fades back to
pass and is besieged by .. . questionable calls
. .. Loras scores. Regardless of the scoreboard,
the Bees remain undaunted in .. keggers on
second floor East. Many exhale with relief that
St. Ambrose will not become jockey-strapped
by an already swollen p.e. department. The
girls' tennis team is ... undefeated by the Fall,
squirrels and Father Strub console each other
about the coming ... midsemester droop. A
pink slip means ... good professors expect more
than .. . the mediocrity of class, work, eat,
sleep ... and dreams of a successful senior job
interview with ... the tide of Julian Bond, Peter Rodino, and John Culver barely rippling the
... quiet of a Friday night. Where have all the
day hops gone? Off to reality, every ... one student endures weak, uninspired classes and becomes skeptical of the merit of humanistic disciplines. Another is inspired by a fresh prof with
exciting material, a new synthesis of history, a
contemporary approach to ... Winter. A priest,
shrouded in the black of his calling, carefully
considers his ... "Hurry up, hurry up! What do
you want?" ... Mincing steps on the snow
glazed doughnut of ... SAGA cuts down on ...
the cost of an education to the soul is something
... impenetrable, the grey sky defies the joys of
... scarves and sweaters, snow sprinkled hair,
and plans of ski vacations ... in the library, she
announces with genuine concern that it must be
checked ... out on a farm in Iowa, a family puts
up the Christmas tree and waits for the homecoming of .. the second semester brings little
change to the lives of off-campus ... students
clump in frozen groups discussing new classes
... new faces of transfer, Palmer, and Eastern
Iowa ... people shiver by sputtering radiators,
or doze ...
