On the C. L . Logsdon farm in Tarkio, Missouri. sheet erosion is shown on a field drilled up and down on 8 percent slope .silt deposit at base of slope more than 12 inches deep along the fence line . This picture was taken two days after heavy rain amounting to to 4 and one-fourth inches in 2 hours .
