This field in Missouri was plowed about 35 days before
this picture was made and harrowed up and down the slope. Heavy rains followed causing gullies where stalks had been dropped in the harrows.. Most of the damage was done in a few days by several heavy rains. The field was
broken from sod three years ago and has been in corn straight.
