Presidents, 2005-2018, Dr. Mick Starcevich, 2012

Under Dr. Starcevich's leadership, innovation and partnerships continued or expanded. A few notable accomplishments in his 12 1/2-year tenure are: the construction of The Hotel (one of two teaching hotels in the country); construction of a wind turbine which served as a basis for a new program in Energy Production and Distribution plus it supplemented the college budget by selling energy generated to the local power company; the implementation of various programs to improve student success; the construction of four regional centers (a cooperative effort between local high schools, businesses and private donors); and a program to constantly improve teaching through a comprehensive faculty improvement program.
