Description
This display shows two models of a 100 acre farm. The first one shows accelerated soil erosion as the result of unsatisfactory farming methods. The second model shows the same farm ten years later after the adoption of of a coordinated erosion control program
Depicting the same farm ten years later after adoption of the coordinated erosion control program recommended y the Soil Conservation Service. Crops are rotated, slopes are terraced, cultivation is on the contour, gullies are checked with dams and trees and the whole farm is used to produce the most and at the same time save and build the soil. Each practice used is important in the whole program and must be varied according to the individual farm
