049. Tyden Pedestal Table Lock Advertisement

Title

049. Tyden Pedestal Table Lock Advertisement

Description

Mr. Tyden invented this table lock after noticing a pedestal table badly spread at the base in a store. When he asked the clerk about it, she said "These tables all spead at the bottom. It can't be helped". Tyden proeeded to invent a lock which holds the table together, top and bottom, so it
cannot spread at either place. Pedestal tables with these locks were built at the Hastings Furniture Company in Hastings, Michigan where Tyden was general manager.
