GOLF
The 1964 golf season can be summed up as a semi-successful season.
While faltering in their dual matches
the Bees proved themselves by winning the Iowa NAIA golf title.
The Bees opened the season on
the right foot. Their first win came
over Black Hawk by a score of 14 1/2-
3 1/2. Their first match at home was
won over Parsons 10 1/2-7 1/2. The
Bees continued their winning streak
by stopping Graceland 15-0. The
first taste of defeat came at the
hands of arch-rival Loras. Before
winning the State Title, the team
finished up their regular schedule
with a loss to Western Illinois, one
of the top golf powers in the Mid-
Western college circles.
The team was lead by lettermen
Vince Neu, Bill Maloney, Jerry
Keefe, Bob Martin, and Ron McGarry. Graduation took only one
member, Bob Martin.
