The Community is well aware of
the talents of our scientists. Dr.
Vinje is "visiting scientist" for the
state in a program sponsored by the
National Science Foundation, the
University of Iowa and the Iowa
Academy of Science. The Vander-
vere Conservatory cooperates with
her in advanced biology courses.
Both Dr. Vinje and Mr. Resnick
work with the Quint City Science
Fair. Mr. Resnick has done much
local work on water purification, pollution, and control. This past November Mr. Resnick was elected to the
State Legislature.
Rev. Carl Rice serves as a member of the Davenport Museum
Board. This past summer Mr. Boyd
and Mr. Porod studied under National Science Foundation grants.
Dr. Miller and Rev. Keefe joined
the Physics Department in September and Mr. Corwin became a
part of the Biology faculty in February.
