ST. AMBROSE . . 14
LEWIS . . . . . . . . . 33
Hanrahan (84), Durnin (40), watch
Floerke (33) throwing a belated block,
during Loras game.
Lewis College's Flyers smacked the
Bees 33-14 on the Lockport turf for the
worst defeat of the season.
Little All-American fullback, Angelo
DeVinere, was a one-man show for the
hosts. He crossed the goal line four times
in the first half as the victors built up a
25-0 lead.
Little Jack Brookhart carried the
brunt of the Ambrose offense in the second half, tallying twice. Jack went 26
yards off tackle for his first score and
then sliced off guard into the end zone
from the five-yard line late in the contest.
Fullback Mitchell Ware converted
twice for the losers.
Lewis (in white) finds it will take three tacklers
to stop the Ambrose ballcarrier.
