Another first credited to Coach Deutsch is the
Midlands Conference Extra-Mural Tournament, the
first such conference tourney in United States
Collegiate annals. Intramural champions from St.
Ambrose, Loras, St. Norbert, and St. Joseph completed at St. Ambrose March 19 and 20. Basketball,
Ping Pong, Bowling and Volleyball were on the
agenda for this meet.
