Description

IT'S ALL A SUMMER'S HABIT
Sister Mary Christine, O. P. relaxes with a book in the library.
Summer is that time of year when most Ambrosians
return home in search of a job or to do volunteer work.
At the same time many of the Superiors of the religious
houses throughout the mid-west are sending sisters to
continue studies. Many specialized courses are offered
as well as degree requirements. Approximately one-third
of summer students are nuns.
Summer session provides some with courses missed
because of conflicts, others with time for a luxury course
or two, and others a chance of a "make-up."
Summer mornings begin with the sacrifice of the Mass for the
sisters from many orders who study at Saint Ambrose.
In the browsing area of the library John Breinich helps with the selection of a book for Sister Marietta, S.S.N.D., Sister M. Joachim,
O.P., and Sister Rita Marie, B.V.M. The library is one source of relaxation and pleasure for the sisters who also sing and swim.
