Salvation Army Barracks

Contributing commercial structure. This structure was originally used as local barracks for the Salvation Army. A room on the first level was used to house transients. The facility was under the command of Major E. Sherping who was in charge of all Salvation Army Activities. This photo was taken for the Heritage Documentation Programs, a division of the National Parks Services. The Heritage Documentation Programs is responsible for administering the Historic American Buildings Survey, Historic American Engineering Record, and Historic American Landscapes Survey.
