Letter from Pammel to Carver, April 3, 1925
Description
April 3, 1925
Prof. G. W. Carver,
Tuskegee Institute,
Tuskegee, Ala.
Dear Prof. Carver:
I have your letter of March 29th and am glad to hear from you.
I have occasionally found Solerotinia Fructigena on the plum. That is, I found some a few year ago. I may have been with some Plant Pathologist who showed it to me, but I remember distinctly seeing it on the plum. I feel quite sure that I did not see any while you were a student at Ames. How abundant the perfect fruiting form is in Iowa I am unable to tell you, but I am asking Dr. Melhus to reply to you direct.
I am always glad to hear from you.
I suppose that the material you found in the laboratory at Cornell must have been sent to Prof. Atkinson. We have a lot of your material in the college and much of your material has been used in connection with lists of fungi.
Yours truly,
Prof. G. W. Carver,
