Letter from Pammel to Carver, May 18, 1922
Description
May eighteenth, 1922
Prof. G. W. Carver,
Tuskegee Institute, Ala.
Dear Professor Carver:
I am in receipt of your favor of the fifth and note its contents with reference to some of your estimates of men connected with the college. I wish to thank you very much for sending this material to me. Permit me to make one little suggestion. On the second page you say
Being a colored boy and the crowded condition of the school made it rather embarrassing for some, and it made the question of a room rather puzzling. Prof. Wilson said, as soon as he heard it, Send him to me, I have a room and he gave me his office and was very happy in doing so.
This room was under the Department of Botany and I had previously permitted other people to use it. However, when it became necessary to get a room for you I suggested to Secretary James Wilson that you have this room during your entire connection with the college. I remember Mrs. Pammel and I tried to get a room somewhere for you.
Thanking you again for sending this material to me, I am,
Yours truly,
P/T.
