Two day dresses with sloping bustles and overskirts gathered with bows to form train, tassels, wide cuffs with ruffles or ribbon trim, jacket bodices curve over hips to point at center front, decorative buttons and bows, standup collars edged with lace, overall dresses heavily trimmed, hats with wide ribbon, flowers and feathers. Young girl in 3/4 length coat with asymmetrical buttons, bow detail, high boots and decorated hat. (published by Journal des Demoiselles)
