Day dresses

Two day dresses. The left dress shows a wide lace collar over a chemise, 3/4 length sleeves trimmed in lace, and a full skirt with 3 flounces. The right dress shows a fitted jacket/bodice with a large basque that is elaborately trimmed in fringe over a full skirt trimmed with bows. She also wears a simple bonnet trimmed with lace and flowers. The skirts are wide and show an increasing emphasis on the back. (published for the Journal des Demoiselles, No. VIII)
