My dear Prof. Pammel,
Merry Xmas to All:-
I read so many and such variable reports concerning the fire and the destruction of Bot. specimens. Are your losses really very heavy and was the Perry lab damaged very much?
Will your work be seriously hindered by reason of it? And doesnt it emphasize very strongly the need of a Bot. Bldg. fire proof?
I have just received my Academy Rept. For which please accept my thanks. I have not Rec. my separates, do I have to send for them? I am revising this list for Pub. as a Scientific Bul. I have a number of additions to make and a few corrections, in the way of typographical errors to make in it. I say revised and reprinted from the Iowa Ac. of Sc. Rept. 1900.
Any suggestions will be thankfully received.
