Dear Dr. Pammel:
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of recent date, and beg you not to put yourself to the trouble of looking up the paper of which I referred unless you want to read it for yourself, as I had a copy on my desk before me when I wrote you and it was so interesting that I thought you would like to know about it. I feared that you had not seen it. I shall be very happy, however to hear just what you have to say after you have seen the article, as you know you are my supreme authority
