Title

Letter from Carver to Pammel, October 8, 1904

Description

Oct. 8, 1904
Dr. L. H. Pammel,
Iowa State College,
Ames, Iowa.
My dear Doctor Pammel:
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of September 24th, and to say that I shall take pleasure in sending you such specimens as I can get. Gelsemium Semperviron, I fear I will not be able to get for some time, as we are passing through one of the greatest droughts that we have had in recent years. Everything is literally burning up. I can find the stalks but no leaves on them practically. Sida Spinosa does not grow in this locality. I can, however, send you other weeds that do not grow in Iowa. I shall get up a good collection for you.
With the very best wishes for yourself and family, I am.
Yours sincerely,
G.W. Carver
