Albion, Iowa Cemetery

Description

The Albion Cemetery is located just southeast of Albion, in the Northeast quarter of Section 6, Iowa Township, Marshall County, Iowa and is a non-sectarian cemetery. Originally owned by the Albion Cemetery Society, it is now a township cemetery.
The oldest grave found is that of Hosea Stout, died August 4, 1850, age 2 yr. 6 mo.
There are many broken or undecipherable stones, though some of the oldest stones have been clean and mended, making them readable.
The Library has records documented thru 2000 by Frances Brewster and others for the Albion Cemetery. Included is documentation of the Veteran's names and war involved in.
