Division of Nursing
The primary concern of the Division of Nursing at St. Ambrose Col-
lege is the total development of the individual nurse in accordance with
the Christian Philosophy of this institution. By means of this philosophy
the student's spiritual and moral life as well as her intellectual and pro-
fessional obligations as a leader are provided for by the acquisition of
knowledge, skills, appreciations and ideals. In addition, she will be pre-
pared to devote herself not only to the care of the sick, the promotion of
health and the prevention of disease, but also to the more general services
to the community. Thus, she will be better able to enter into the work of
her profession and to assume her place among its leaders.
