Description
The Ambrose-Marycrest Players is an organization
dedicated to the promotion and development of interest
in plays and dramatic activities at St. Ambrose and
Marycrest Colleges. The club, drawing its membership
from speech students and others interested in play production, aided in the production of four full length plays
during the year. These productions, under the capable
direction of Mr. Charles S. Costello, Chairman of the
Speech and Drama Department at St. Ambrose, were
presented in the Marycrest auditorium.
The Drama Club attempts to bring its members into
close, practical contact with the art of the stage in a
its wholesome aspects. These include acting to set construction and make-up. Membership in this active organization brings about an association and cooperation with
people in one of the most entertaining and interesting
activities offered at St. Ambrose and Marycrest.
