19.Same day it was a week ago. Big excitement over the last installment of Am
brosian work. Look for the picture of Lew and his shadow. No kiddin'.
Honest, it's a fact. Shadows in the left upper corner.
20. Choir practice. Some of the boys were just out to kill time. They sure lived up
to their killing reputation.
21. Neiters calls a meeting of the Tennis Association. Being the only member to
answer the summons he elects himself president and acting manager. "Yay!"
Looie.
22. "Fat" Watters persuades himself that he is feeling sick, thereby shifting the re
sponsibility of prof's waiter to his colleague in misery. West.
23. Fitzpatrick organizes a class in poetry. In the absence of text books he reads
some of his own compositions, thereby running the club as a literary organization.
It goes by the name of "Humoreske".
24. Big raid on class "ditchers". Mack sells four pies at dinner.
25. Lena Genster caught mistreating a "Camel" and is interviewed by the M. D.
It is rumored that the "Society for the prevention of cruelty to dumb animals"
is also to bring suit against him.
26. Nice day to see the Columbia but nicer to stay here and chase the "apple". In
other words, this is a free day for those who don't play baseball. Jake brings his
new bat out for "private" use.
27. Joe Bush sells his arm full of curves to Gannon for ten field baskets made in the
first Augustana game. We've been working all day to discover who got the
better of the trade. Can you figure it out?
28. Senior classes getting anxious as each day brings them closer to graduation—
maybe. Science club initiates new members. Some one slept in the library all
night.
