Description

The Ambrosian
Infirmaree
The hours I spend in thee, dear heart,
Are just a string of pills to me,
I take each one an hour apart—
Infirmaree! Infirmaree!
Each hour a pill, and when I try
To swallow one, the little cuss
Will not go down, but lodges right
So tight in my esophagus.
Oh, liquids vile, I taste you yet!
And O unfailing hour of pill,
I take each till the last, to get
Excused from class, O Doc.
From drill.
R. Lawler: My friend Bill died last
night.
J. Bush: You don't say. Plow did it
happen ?
Lawler: He had an alcohol rub and
then broke his neck trying to lick it off.
On the Gridiron
Dan: What do you think of the team's
line this year?
She: Really, I haven't had a date with
any of the team in ages.
Editor of Staff: Are you sure this is absolutely original?
Suhl: Well—you may find some of the
words in the dictionary.
Terrific
Johnston: I had my nose broken in
three places last summer.
McCloskey: Why do you persist in going to those places?
