Description

The Ambrosian
When
When we get a free day twice some week,
When the Irish will not fight,
When the Yidds quit saving money,
When it rains all day some night,
When John Bull sinks his navy,
When "yo black boys" give up dice,
When old B. J. will cut his hair,
When the sun will turn to ice,
When Carpentier can K. O. Jack,
When stubbornness leaves the mule,
On that great day, I'll smile and say
Hooray! How I love school!
When the class is without a dunce,
When the Japs don't think of war,
When "ye aggies" wear plain ties,
When eating is a bore,
When there's a bridge across the ocean,
And the world's without a fool,
On that great day, I'll grin and say
Hooray! Hooray! For school.
W. Conway.
